Mike Huff's 1989 Mitsubishi ( Indio, CA) Sent in by Donna Huff of Salem, OR
We bought this truck for our son on his 18th Birthday and he just turned 30. He has worked on it off and on for all these years. He has changed the appearance of it, and I think it looks great. It's a 1989 Mitsubishi Mighty Max. But the grill has been changed and he added moulded dually fenders, a ground effects kit and had a mold made of the custom bumper and air dam. We just had it painted white with blue pearl over it, and the interior and bed were completely done. He has flames sewn in the door panels and they are putting blue lights in. The flames are a combination of red, orange, and blue pinstriping. It turned out awesome. It has really wide tires on the back but still carries the original rear end and motor/trans. He removed the gas filler and rerouted it inside near the tailgate, which by the way is louvered and moulded. He made one of the original hide-a-way hitches that open up. Polished aluminum wheels. Next project is air bags.

"Ole Blue"
"Ole Blue" is a 551st series Chevy p/u. I restored it to original about 8 years ago. Last spring I decided to upgrade it to late model specs. i.e. '82 Monte Carlo IFS, disc power brakes, saganaw power steering, 327eng (350Hp), Hedman hedders, Flowmaster mufflers, 2 1/2 in. stainless pipes, 700R4 tranny, Impala posi rear (3.38 gears), 235/70/R15 rear, 235/60/R15 front and '74 Chevy p/u tilt steering column. I am very satisfied with the way everything turned out. It was a lot of hard work but worth every minute of it. On road test got 18.5 mpg. running 65 to 70 mph @ 2050 to 2100 rpm. Passing gear (direct) awesome at this speed. Comments welcome. BowTieMax@webtv.net

Clay Croghan's 1956 Chevy 3100 Stepside
Clay bought this truck in August 2001 from Memory Lane Motors. It had been completely restored from the frame up, featured a mild 327 c.i.d., P.B., P.S.w/tilt, new trim, new bed, but needed some extra touches, so he installed Mono Leafs front and rear to lower it, took out the 4 speed and added TH350 w/Shift Kit, Lokar shifter, pedals, Grant Leather Wheel, new carpet kit, etc. Still a work in progress.d
